The club's core purpose is to provide combat training opportunities for its members.
We convene regular team sessions by invitation, at no cost.
Club Maul was established in 2004 as a weekly training session aimed at real world self-defence. The club's focus swiftly became the exploration and refinement of the best possible training techniques across a spectrum of combat survival skills.
After 20 years of research and development, we have arrived at a curated collection of combat training methods, underpinned by our own unique concepts and theory.
We have no ranks, titles, belts or bullshit. Just training.
Club Maul members are typically experienced combat practitioners who have reached a stage where they are seeking challenging, creative and useful ways to put their skills into practice. Our aim is to leave each session having had a solid physical workout, feeling psychologically recharged and with our fighting skills sharpened and at the ready.
In order to ensure the best potential training partners for our members, we also offer skills development for up-and-coming combat practitioners. Mixed Martial Arts-style striking and grappling training as well as weaponry and self-defence methods are all on the cards for aspiring fighters who are working towards the goal of club membership.
We may be willing to negotiate affiliated use of our training methods. We can collaborate with you to customise a tailor-made skills enhancement program with defined, achievable outcomes that align with your goals. Instructor endorsement is possible. We can even support you on an ongoing basis through consultant coaching. Enquire below for further information.
